Thank you for everyone and your help! I ended up buying the part for about $330 in total online (including shipping/safe handling etc) from parts geek. I believe the manufacturer is Eastern.

i dont think its literally a california car because my mazda protege has the same setup and it was originally sold out of J Bommarito in st charles missouri. my exhaust guy got it all done in the neighborhood of 400 dollars.
