LOL  4 wheel parts catalog jeep, how original

If your not going to use it off road don't bother, and if you are going to use it off road, half that shot is a joke

Well hell, my jeep so far has really rustled your jimmies for some reason

May I ask whats wrong with adding mods sub $200?

IMO I would cut some cost from the wheels and tires and put into an actual suspension lift and not the budget kit.
I like the Pro Comp 7069s and if you go with a 16" rim you can get them for just over $100 each. Then if you go with a 16" rim you can get some Kuhmo KL71s for $250 each
Thats the setup I run currently and they have been great tires on and off road. Very quiet for a MT too.

Smittybuilt has a bad reputation for producing low quality stuff with lots of fitment issues. Poison Spyder on the other hand has awesome quality, but you pay for it.

I think the biggest thing to decide is what you plan on doing with your Jeep. If its 99% daily driver and will almost always be on road than a budget boost isnt a problem. If you plan on rock crawling than it will be a problem.
I also wouldnt bother with the intake.

Lastly, if you upgrade wheels you will likely need a new carrier to support the additional size and weight. That can range a LOT in price depending on how you do it. Ive just got mine behind my rear seats. Fits absolutely perfectly with no room to move (although I do need to strap it down still...)

I will agree that a LOT of that list is not going to be useful off road, but not everyone needs beadlocks, built axles and long arm suspensions.

Hey Koj, thanks alot man I will deffinetly look into the wheels, and tires, and I looked at the budget because I can do it now and upgrade later, I think I will lean towards spyder per your recommendation, I appreciate all the help

Newbie out

You do t need a snorkel, if you put your truck in water your going to have nothing but problems.

1000$ on wheels and non beadlock? Retarded
Get some 100$ a piece procomps get 17inch wheels, that's where the industry is going

Shity built build junk generic junk that looks ugly, either spend a little more or don't bother.

The fender flares are ok, but there are cheaper/better built ones. 350$ for fender flares is expensive

Don't bother with the intake 300+$ for something that's not helping you do anything is lame.

Look at the maxxis big horns, they are a good aggressive tire and less than the bf's or even cooper or general tire makes some good mts for cheaper

What is the good latch kit/luver kit? What do you need those for

And the floor matts, you can get cheaper ones that do the same thing

What do you actually plan on doing with the truck? Because based on the list you posted, it sounds like you wana do a lot of mall crawling

Well I would agree that much of the list is not nessicary and as per Axis and your suggest the pro comp wheels make a ton of sense, and better lift does as well,

So see I dont have any experience rock crawling, I did moderate offroading in my old grand cherokee, but nothing to write home about, there for I know nothing yet what goes into a build, yes some pieces such as the latch and spyder hood louver are just aestetic, but its a fun way to spend a saturday. I will be off roading, and am in somewhat in a rush to figure out what to get and why because at the moment I barely clear speed bumps. Theres alot to learn, and this is just the start

I'm trying to help you spend the $ in the places that help the most, cosmetic stuff does nothing

Like I asked what do you want to do with the truck and how much do you have/want to spend?

I understand, and like always I appreciate any help to steer me in the right direction It will be a mix of dune riding, and off roading, If at all possible I would love to be under 3k for the primary mods lift, wheels, and tires, now as I think axis mentioned there are other parts that may go into it that I may not know about, if so I would like to add whatever I can to protect my vehicle, because I would say 85% of the time it will be on the road, since it is my daily driver but one weekend a month or so I will be taking it out for a new expedition

The only thing I disagree with is the latch kit. Some get some serious hood flutter at highway speeds. The upgraded hood latches can help. I doubt the louver kit would have any noticeable effect unless you are really combating high heat.

Imo I would go in this order
Cut the OEM fenders ~Free
Get the wheels and tires installed (cut fenders should give plenty of clearance for 35s for on road use) ~$1500 if you skip the 5th wheel for now.
Lift kit (price varies a lot for $1k will get you a good 2.5" kit)
Then work on bumpers and what not.

I ran cut fenders with the 35s for a few weeks. Even flexed a little there was still clearance. Not a good setup for off road but you can do it until you get a lift together.

Id pass on the snorkle for now. A stock JK is rated as being able to drive through 36" of water. Add a 2.5" lift plus a few more inches from the bigger tires and you are well over being capable of driving through 3 foot deep water. Do you plan on doing more than that soon (I dont! Although I have driven through a river a few times. Its fun.)

Yeah the louver is pure aestetic saw it on a few (pictures seemed like a cool project for later on)

So lets see how does this look to start?
The pro comp wheels allow for more of a budget on the lift which is definitely the right choice
These tires are ones that ive seen around the wrangler forum, although looking into the Kuhmo KL71s, debating

Forgot to mention I will most likely bring the jeep 'mudding' once I find out where to go

Bf Goodrich35 x 12.50R17LT, Mud-Terrain T/A KM2 $1,589 (5)
Pro comp Series 51, 15x8 with 5 on 4.5 Bolt Pattern - Gloss black $275 (5)
And what lift should I look for??

those 17" tires will fit awfully loose on those 15" wheels

Lift partially depends on whether or not you get some lower profile fenders. 2.5" lift will give you plenty of clearance on flat fenders, not sure about stock ones though.
I like the Teraflex kit I have. Easy to install and good quality for a lower cost kit.
Either this one or the one same one but without the shocks and add some Bilsteins.

I love the KL71s so far and its been a while.
