Because it's not always about which car is faster.

I chose the audi r8 because, in my opinion, it is the nicest looking out of the group and most likely has the best interior.

I don't see how anyone can be unsatisfied with the power of a $100,000+ car. It's more than enough.

A V8 R8 is really not very fast. I would be very disappointed in it's performance if i took out a mortgage to buy one. We have 2 completely different perspectives. It's all about what you are used to. That's why it's an opinion.

It is an opinion, yes. However, I have he hardest time understanding how people don't find a car like this fast for daily driving.

I don't understand how a 400+hp car could be considered "not very fast."

It's all relative. You drive a 200hp car. I drive a 500hp car. What feels like good performance to you feels slow to me. I don't aggressively brake into corners and push cornering limits because i feel that is very unsafe. I enjoy twisty roads but within reason. Every curve here is blind. We have things called trees. I'm not railing a corner and killing someone or myself. So for me most of the fun is WOT bursts and accelerating out of corners. This feels much safer.

A 100k supercar with the same power as my stock 5th gen camaro is 1 peg above a boxster imo.

I feel like we live in similar demographics.

An audi will have boat loads more bells and whistles than your camaro though.

I guess I look at the whole package when viewing cars, not just how fast it goes.how it goes is more important to me.

The look of a car, inside and out, also plays a huge roll for me.

Even if there was a car for $30,000 that was 3000 lbs, 400hp, similar torque, I still wouldn't have interest in it if I didn't find it attractive inside and out.

I'm not all about power. I look at the whole package. I value things differently than you is all. I have a mechanical mind. The drivetrain's efficiency, reliability, and simplicity are important to me. I am not spending 40k more than the mechanics are worth because a car has a few rings on the bumper and the leather on the seats is from a calf that grew up with a name in an Italian petting zoo.

I'm perfectly content with an 8/10 interior execution. I expect a 10/10 mechanically. As i said the V10 R8 is a different animal. The V8 version is not worth the scratch imo.

I think audi deserves a little more credit for their interior than you are giving them, haha. They are pretty well known for having quality interiors.

It's more than just fabrication though, technology and convenience as well. Though, I'm not saying I need the bells and whistles.

My brz has a very simplistic interior, but I enjoy the simple luxuries it does have. My girlfriend just purchased a new 2014 civic and out of all the interior technology honda puts into those, I would only want a single "next track" button on my steering wheel, but NO other buttons.

Like I said I really don't care about a "next level" interior. I don't live in my car. I don't get my rocks off over hand stitching. It's not my priority. That is why this is a poll after all... to collect opinions... Interior quality doesn't do anything for resale value either. Look at luxury car resale values.

I'm not saying you should care, I already understand what your wants/needs are, I was just saying.

I can't say this for sure, but I would imagine luxury brands don't hold resale values very well because, from my observation, many people only keep them for a few years because they don't want to pay for the expensive maintenance , so I would imagine that would have an impact on the price.

Also, non luxury brands' quality has been getting increasingly better, so I would imagine that would also hurt luxury brand resale values.

Either the R8 or GTR. The Nissan is an amazing car and even more rare than the Audi.
