you should take a look at the mod list for that car... motors not stock by any means.  All I'm trying to say is that IMO the brz isn't a car you should be dumping lots of money for mild gains, it's meant to be a sporty looking/fun to drive car

* Falcon Tires $1,000
* Work Wheels $1,800
* Work aluminum lug nuts $120
* Brembo six pot Front Brakes $3,795
* Brembo four pot Rear Brakes $3,395
* Tein Suspension $2,300
* Motor build $6,000
* Motul fluids throughout $200
* Crawford spec Carbon clutch $1,300
* Crawford spec Turbo kit $5,000
* Crawford Intercooler Kit $1,745
* Crawford 3" Exhaust $1,550
* Tuning/fuel system upgrades $2,250
* Coolant upgrades $750
* Upgraded Axels/CV Joints $1000
* Carbon one piece driveshaft $1000
* Crawford spec AOS $325
* Window tint $300

Yes yes I was just talking about the package they offer for the turbo itself being 8k ish, but of course to keep the car running and running safely you will need to dump a whole lot more into it, but if you can pick it up for 23k is brand new or cheaper on depriciation, used is at like 18k right now, and dump all that into it, you have a pretty impressive good looking automobile for under 40 grand

edit: Im a brz fanboy :mellow:

yeah but that same statement can be used for pretty much every car. If I bought a brz I would leave it stock, if I wanted something faster I would rather buy a new car than pool thousands of dollars into the brz for minimal gains compared to lots of other cars out there is what I'm sayin.

Trolls will be trolls.

If there was a car for 20k that did 0-60 in 5 second, quarter mile in under 14, I still would choose the brZ over it.

Not everyone goes for the "best bang for the buck," in fact, this can be said about buying anything. People will first choose what the "like" the best and certain qualities, such as performance in this case, may not be their first go to.

Is the brZ a couple grand overpriced? Yes. Could it have used more hp/torque from factory? Yes, but not much more. Is it one of the most balanced, affordable sports cars in production? Absolutely yes.

The "need for speed" doesn't apply to everyone and the arrogance in here supporting "you have to buy the fastest car for the best price" is pathetic and childish.

Do you have a point or do you purposely act like a child?

The tires were specifically picked to help keep the car "unpredictable," and to assist in the fun factor. Whether they are found on a Prius or not has no relevance to the twins.

How's this.....mustang claims 400lb reduction, gets +~300 instead.

All this crying is really getting old.
