alright well today had a stupid fucking Warner driver hit my mirror because he cant stay on his side of the bridge. a-hole had his steer tire on the center line and i was against the curb with nowhere to go. and of course when i yelled at him on the radio he didnt answer.

first pic is where his mirror hit mine. he was in a cascadia so i hope it ripped his entire assembly off his door. second is where it broke the mounting plate that the bottom of the mirror bracket bolts to. luckily these mirrors have the outside breakaway so it folded it in towards my truck and cracked the spot mirror and just broke that bottom mount plate. it should be a simple fix.

We run all newer pete's with c15's :(

Damn emissions shit on them always breaking down and not a powerhouse by any means

yeah our cascadias are terrible about breaking down. constantly with all 3 engine lights coming on and usually having to go to freightliner in cincinnati. we have 5 down right now.

@fmx im not sure on which cummins it is. its a 2010 model truck and it has the egr and exhaust regen but not the def tank. ill check next time im in it if i remember.

If I'm not badly mistaken that C15 can be had anywhere from 450-6xxhp and it's easily upgraded if you have the lower power level.  One of our trucking companies runs the multi torque version at 475hp and the drivers hate it for short hauls. 2 of their trucks that go OTR are the 600hp versions and they love them.

ISX15 is still the way to go imo.

I've got all the codes for the new c15 motors to go from 435 to 600+ However, they wont let me touch the trucks. Only reason i had the codes is because my excavator also has a c15 for a powerplant and i got sick of the 435 tune. There is no difference in the power outputs as far as the motors go, simply codes in the computer. There's 9 different settings iirc.

I want to say the only difference is the displacement and power levels. 2010 should be the last year before they went common rail with the DEF system. So your engine is actually EPA 2007 compliant built in 09. The bad news is it does have a regen cycle. I don't have any personal experience with the ISX but I know the DEF system Cummins uses in the 6.7's is very effective and quite reliable.

Damn what size excavator are you running?

I'd load the new tune every time I got a chance. What they don't know won't hurt them lol.

on the info display it has a thing about the engine that i think is saying its a 2007 engine but im not sure if thats what it means or not. our newest peterbilt they got with the paccar motor to see if it is more reliable than these cummins motors.

Pete is pretty confident in their in house engines. I don't know anything about them really.

If I were to buy a truck it wouldn't be a Peterbuilt. I used to make the bodys for them, and I quality wise I'd get a Kenworth. Definitely a lot better quality in the body at least.

yup, i agree body wise and interior quality, but since i drove petes i find them alot smoother, kenny gas pedals are just too sensitive. thats just my opinion....
