If you're spraying metallic paint (has flake in it). Use a slightly further distance from the panel when you spray. You want the flake to fall onto the panel, you don't want it "pushed" by the air. This will cause mottling ("tiger stripes".)

I'd say the safe distance, assuming correct gun/air settings, would be around 16-20 inches from the panel.

As you can see, I didnt start this one. I just simply said that flat black and gray look cheap no matter how professional it is. I think some people will even agree with me.

Yeah I'm like 80% sure I want to spray it metallic. Idk I've changed my mind on color about 20 times in the past few months so we will see. But I appreciate the tip and will remember that when it comes to spray time.
