Let me assure you, it really isnt that bad. You get used to it

We've had a STEADY -30-50 degrees CELCIUS winter. You adapt.
And when it warms we been getting easily
1-6 inchs each time ( this is a much colder, and offset winter than usual Fyi )

Snow , believe it or not is easy to drive in. WINTER TIRES have something to bite . A crisp ass -45c morning without any recent snow is a PITA mostly on the highway because unless you have some agressive studded tires you are spinning steady. Ever see a entire town of black ice? You dont see shit comming 1.5k rpm and ligjt breaking only. You dont see black ice, it finds you when you least expect it.

I guess what im saying, if you spent a winter up here with us. You would be a pro in situations like that. Providd your prepared atleast a littl bit...

Hell ive oficially spun out 4 times this year. Havent hit a snow( ice ) bank though. Just 180s lots of swearing, then a slower ride home .. Hah

ADAPT, test limits when its appropriate and respect your machine. You learn quickly

Spoken from a canadian born and raised for over 20 years. Shit gets rough

Heres an example from me on the other end of the stick...

Ive been to edmonton, winnipeg , a variety of other big citys. And the heat difference is TOTALLY different compared to what i have here. Literly it can be 30 degrees c in my home town and i got shorts, tshirt and some beers. Im good to go ffor days on end.
I go to edmonton and its 20-25 same shit, and just the feeling of the temp in a big city is eay different. This past summer i was in winnipeg at 20 degrees or ao shopping downtown , and i was fuckin damn near dead. I couldnt breath, walk, drinkin water like mad. I had to call it quits 2 days in a row, after just a COUPLE hours in the sun. And yet i can last hours and hours on end down here.

Adaption...

You can outlast me in a track field by hours in a big city
And i can dance cirlces around you in ice and snow.
Make sense? I hope so... Im only on beer 4, so i should still be speaking english.

Btw, what the fuck is a "level x snow emergency?"
How do they determine this emergency?

if you read the post you would know. its not about how many inches. its simply stating road conditions arent good and if you dont need to be on the road then dont. a stage 3 is when nobody but emergency personnel are allowed on the road.

you need to be careful

Know what they tell us? Buy winter tires and dress warm.
If you think any of this is anything but ice at these temps + first thing in the AM thats a joke.. ha

p.s salt and sand does jack in situations like this.
