lol well i mean i dont have a lot of time to spend on a vehicle with work full time and school full time, its hard. but i want a nice dd. i can fit in a miata no problem, ive actually rode in one and drove one. but idk how they are for practicality. Do u own a 240? or have owned one?

Its an inside joke. The main problem with 240sxs is rust, if you're in an area where thats not an issue its fairly reliable for a 25 year old car. You have to keep in mind it is a 25 year old car though.

5-10k depending on condition in Edmonton, I'm sure you can score better deals out in the east coast.

Why are parts hard to get for a prelude?

Are u not in the us? Or do u just not know where to get parts?

I mean like places like Craigslist and junkyards for some cheap second hand things are hard to find. Yes I can go to lmc and order some. But if I can save a bit id like to, because I'm in college. I mean I see b series and k series parts all over Craigslist and forums etc. the car is burning oil and leaking. Lol. It's just been a hassle oh and another h22 is Rediculous in price compared to a B or d series. It's about the price of an ls1

I've gone through a handful of 240's. KA's are like any other motor, built to last provided it's well taken care of, last KA I blew passed 300k and only blew because I beat the snot out of it.

I did have the IACV stick on my a couple times though, so that's something to watch out for.

SR's are the same thing, take care of it and it will take care of you. I'd be careful when buying a 240 with one already put in though, I've see my fair share of hack job swaps. It's a massive pain to have to rewire someone else's mistakes.

yea thats why im leery of buying this one, i wont pull the trigger on it. im still interested in some FailWheelDrives, like a rsx or a clean civic si, cobalt ss, something sporty and for spirited driving, id like a 240 cause the aftermarket support is endless, so many parts and theyre dirt cheap to fix. Now lets say i pick up a 95 that has 160k for 3k is that a good deal? stock ka in it, which eventually i would want to swap it for a sr. but that would be after i get my truck back on the road.

Again, it depends on what condition the car is in. If it has minimal rust then it would be a pretty decent deal.

S14s did have minor chassis changes but it retains it's predictable traits. They're also a tad bit heavier than S13s.
I'd suggest that you have a decent budget if you do swap though, better to be prepared for the worst rather than running out of money and having to sell the car.

Yea it would be a about 6months before I'd consider a swap. Um I don't wanna get hot and heavy into drifting, but id like to try it out. But also is the Lexus a good choice? I mean I consider my prelude "quick" not fast. But it's faster than most moms cars and other civics and such. Of course it's stock other than intake and muffler. But the Lexus only has 160hp? If I read right. Won't it be super slow? I've read that it's Toyota reliable but I don't want. A snail.

You gotta look for the one with the non-turbo 2J, not the one with the 1G

Is 300 all came with na 2j, 1j were never offered in North American market iirc.

the na 2jz puts out 220hp decent for a dd IMO.
