if you read his first post it says "im really open to anything" so, with that in mind, i recommended him something a littler on the newer side. he says he can spend 1k a month on it, so why not suggest something a little more from this decade? 21k for a low mileage mustang gt isnt bad, and that can be brought down lower still.

this was the perfect time to offer something other than what he said, good job on totally thinking outside of the box bro!

If you read further down he says he has 1k a month after bills. He does not need to spend all of that on a car payment. Really not even half. He liked the styling for the camaro and vette. I talked about them with him. I'm not against mustangs, I'm against buying newer performance cars unless you really know what you want. Sinking yourself into a payment on something you weren't in love with sucks. Taking a bath on it when you sell it is worse. Ask the guys taking the $15k hit on that 2011 mustang in 3 years.

i understand he has 1k after bills to spend how he pleases, dependent upon what he puts down towards, hypothetically that mustang i linked, wouldnt be that much. if he likes the old camaro styling, fine, as i stated i just suggested something outside of the box, making him aware that he can afford something newer.

most new cars today depreciate quickly, camaro, mustang, challenger, etc, unavoidable usually.

damn youre right, i need to read through the lines. "im open to anything though" clearly translates to "i want an older project car to tinker with" teach me to fucking read bro, i suck at it.

congrats also on spending 5k more on a camaro that gets out performed than a mustang gt, but who cares!

i posted a vid of me on the parkway, with no traffic, go watch it again so in your next post, you can at least be partially accurate.

The one I saw you had to wait to turn around there was so much traffic.

Ride is right. You have no idea how to handle buying a car. Did I say I payed sticker? Not even close. I wouldn't have touched it with a 10ft pole at sticker.

Code
interested in upgrading to a 98-02 LS1 Camaro, but im also thinking of getting a C5 Corvette, it would most likely not be a Z06 but even the base one is fast / faster then an ls1 camaro.

I really don't know what else Id buy, so im looking for ideas, Id want something sporty not a 4 door.

Im open to anything really though, I got about 1000 a month I could spend on a car payment alone, but id rather spend 250-500

Thanks

The bulk of that sounds like he was looking at ls1 camaros and c5 vettes to me. $250-500 a month also denotes a loan for $5k-$20k. Carry on.

Which is exactly why I'm against buying a new performance car unless it is something you are dead set on having or you are in a financial position to say fuck it.

Not with mustang owners. Usually. He has his panties in a wad from the vette thread a little bit down the page.
