Well not much progress, painted the cab today except the hood and grille, desert tan krylon camo paint B)
Waiting on parts (radiator, ring/pinion, throw out bearing/fork, clutch master/slave).
Then when I get more funds I'll order front brakes and a disc conversion for the rear, should be about $500 total for brakes (unless the booster/master or proportioning valve is bad)
Calling around to see if someone will come take the damn box off my hands, I want to start making my flatbed.
Going to use pressure treated 2x6's for the floor and stain them, fuel cell mounted on the bed and eventually a tool box.
Frame is getting about foot cut out of it, haven't measured what that will make the wheelbase yet.

I do like a good plank bed. Still planning on shortening it?

Bet you could sell that box on craigslist.

Yeah I edited my post to add that you must of already had er open.
The wheel wells are rotted, there is no floor in the box, and the tailgate is faacked.
Someone can take it for all I care, be less work for me to build a flatbed.
Wife is pestering me about ditching the box though -_-

Well if it's that bad then maybe you should scrap it instead. You might get a few bucks out of it anyway. Just pull the trim/frame bushings off and drag it across the scales.

Flipping through channels and I saw something that might interest you.

Stacey David's Gearz
Episode name was "Rock and Roll"

He was talking about making a plank flat bed for a short wheelbase pickup he was working on.
