We share extremely similar winter patterns, actually.

Being on the east coast of lake Ontario right under the tug hill plateau in NY means A LOT of snow, thanks to Lake Effect. It's pretty much the same for any Great Lake state, or province.

Fort Drum is about 20 miles from me. It's a military winter training facility, some of you Military guys may have even been stationed there. The weather gets pretty rough around here, thats why they chose this location for the base.

I'm surprised no Canadians have chimed in as to the snow fall yet.

Also got another 3 inches since I posted.

im sure thats the reason in its entirety, people need to learn how to drive down south. period lol.

theres plenty of people here with wisconsin plates that need to learn how to drive, and southerners that have never driven in snow it may be a challenge for them. i think the biggest factor is people thinking cause they have 4wd and awd they cant push their limits. personally i prefer a fwd for snow but my truck in 2wd is always fun

oh yeah no doubt a 4x4 will go thru alot more, but when it comes to commuting on snowy roads i like fwd, i drive my truck as a dd right now but id rather be driving a fwd car back and fourth to work unless im traveling on unplowed roads with drifts and what not
