Powerband/Reliability

No you can't lol. And LS1s are now all over 10 years old, aside from GTO motors which are still close. You can't compare that to a new car.

You can get a miata for under $1k, the kit to swap in a LS for like $3-4k and all you need from there is a motor, tranny, and rear end. Find a used LS1 and tranny plus a rear end for a few thousand, throw it all together and spend the last thousand or two on some power adders. It wont be pretty but it will be fast.

Now if you include labor costs than sure, its pretty expensive. But you can (relatively) easily build a awesome performance car for a very low price.

The same results in a better looking car (BRZ) would be fun.

In due time. The brZ has only been out for 8 months.

When it came out, it was said it couldn't be turbo'd.... It has and it didn't take very long.

This is only the beginning of the brZ's long life and it has a very strong enthusiast fan base.

The brZ has a very bright future.

I actually don't think Miata's look half bad when done right.

You can't compare a 20 year old swapped miata to a new mustang lol.

It will be best for spec racing, assuming TRD can get something together. As far as building them legitmately, you have much better options.

Uhh, ya I can....
If you read what I was actually saying the point was that if you can make a Miata rape a new mustang with just a swap and the BRZ is nearly the same as a Miata, than a swapped BRZ would be beastly.
I drive a fairly new Mustang and im definitely not one to trash them, but a V8 Miata will walk one quite easily without some serious mods.
The only thing I am trying to say by that is that is you can manage the same with a BRZ for a cheap price and easy install (like in a miata) than it would be impressive.

Yep, finally someone caught on to what Mazda has been doing since the 90s.
