Look at a 1994-98.5 dodge ram 3500 and 2500.
The only difference you will find is that the 3500 is a dually with 1 more leaf spring.
Hence why alot of guys look for the "camper special" ram 2500's They are a SRW 3500, which dodge never made until 2003.
The basic suspension, frame, motor, trans, front end, everything is the exact same in the 2500 and 3500. The only factor setting it apart is a leaf spring and 2 extra rear wheels. (and gas as fuck fender flares)
Now when you talk about newer models, the base model 2500 is a beef'd up 1/2 ton. Unless you get the heavy duty package which turns the 3/4 ton into a spitting image of the 1 ton.
they have a different rear end though don't they? that is the biggest thing when towing is a good rear end
