My friend also has a 4 cyl 5 speed ranger w/o a tach. I donated an old 3" sunpro I had laying around. He hasn't installed it yet because he is afraid to see what RPMs he actually runs it at. He's never hit the limiter and we don't even know if it has one. It revs so slowly he can go wide open with the clutch in for 3-4 seconds before it turns what I guess is 6k or so.

6k is a good guess, but ive never hit redline because it was to slow

If he does that and pops the clutch in a puddle 1 tire spins over 3 or 4 times and then it catches traction. In a fucking puddle... On tires that should have been changed a year ago. They are past bald. They actually have a concave shape in the middle lol. My 4 cylinder automatic 02 tacoma takes him in a straight line. Not by much but it takes a mile to hit 85. When he powershifts it (he has owned 3 LS1 Fbodies and a 95 mustang) the whole truck rattles and you can see the bed shake back and forth like its getting wheel hop. Hilarious stuff.
