No union here. I'm skilled labor but it's not really a trade. My position is Senior Area Process Controller. Senior Operator or SO is the term used by employees though. An SO is the middleman between the operators and the shift supervisor. I cover supervisor when the supervisor is off and make supervisor level decisions. It's not a bad gig. Lots of pressure and stress at times.
