Anyone that races civics in straight lines are dumb fucks. I still bet my CTR will beat ur car stock around a bendy track.
Yea sure 3 seconds in a straight line is a long time (or those that care) but it will easily make that back on corners. Also I think I did mention my car only has a 2L n/a 4 cylinder? Compared to what the pontiac has stock vs stock... 3 seconds is not that huge of a difference.
You prove my point exactly.. Who gives a fuck about 1/4 times? does it make ur dick bigger? Unless u are actually gonna do something like <7 secs where the adrenaline rush? Track racing is far more fun and exciting than straight line racing FACT.
What you mean my CTR isnt quite stock? Its factory tuned... thats stock to me. Theres no aftermarket parts whatsoever. Unless my rear brake light cover counts as a performance "mod".
With a few grand put into a civic type R it will still cost lest than its rivals (foces ST, opel/vauxhaull VXR, golf GTI/R32) and be faster aswell N/A.
everyone always talks about track racing on these forums, and how their car is better at track racing than my car or someone elses car
but lemme ask these pple a question
have they ever been to a track, and when your actually driving your car on a daily basis how much fun can u actually have with a car that can just handle good?
i think on a daily basis your are going to use strait line speed A LOT more than just being good on a turn, trying to turn fast on a normal road is dangerous, not saying the going fast in a strait line isnt, theres just alot more room for error when trying to turn fast on public roads
and as for track racing funner than strait line racing, thats a matter of personal opinion, both arent easy, especially if your shifting manually on a 1/4 car, personally from what ive seen, it takes a decent amount more to build a car that is fast in a strait line, than it does to build a car that is fast around a track
thats just my 2 cents
