5AM on the way to work in a torrential downpour. I was staying left of the ruts in the road to stay out of the standing water. As i went into that curve an oncoming car was left of center. I had to move over. When my front tires dropped back into the ruts and hit the standing water it hydroplaned and started spinning. I tried to catch it but all i managed to do was hold it on the road a bit longer. Started sliding off the road with my driver door heading towards the trees. I Cranked the wheel and nailed the gas. It was enough to back it in bumper first. That crack on the rear bumper is right on the frame rail. It hit the big pine tree and spun around 180 degrees.
That's pretty much verbatim what I did when I wrecked my Wrangler. Except substitute "rain" for "snow", "oncoming car" with "deer" and "trees" for "telephone pole"
Hopefully the repairs go smoothly.
