So we were pulling down a dead birch that was leaning over someone's house. There was 3 actually. Anyways, we use a 91 Ford 3 ton dump box as the daily work horse, Dana 80, locking hubs you know your shit. Anyways, last tree after a coffee break we hook up our ropes and pulleys, ratched strap the tree togethers so it won't split under pressure( yes, it was that dead) . All good, put in 4l, lock the hubs and start cutting, well this time around the hubs didn't lock, didn't drive forward enough to allow them to lock, I start spinning out tree is leaning worse then it was my asshole was probably this big o. HEEEY, HEEEY, had to get the home owner to hook his 2014 chev to the work Truck and we both oulled to pull the tree over.
His wife had no idea the seriousness of this and she's standing in the window watching, MOVE.
Good times

Do everything right, take our time, and shit like this can still happen before you even know what hit you. First time these hubs haven't locked when you turn them, just didn't agree with us at that moment and time. Now we know haha, drive first 20 feet
