Fastest I've personally DRIVEN in a car is about 240 kph in my ex'gf's Evo 5, the cateyes on the road feel like rocks at that speed.
Fastest I've BEEN A PASSENGER in a car is 287 kph in a mates 180SX, maybe slightly more in another mates MkII Escort, the speedo is kinda dodgey but theoritcally it should hit 290-295, that was maxing out 5th @9700rpm

Yesterday , I went 140 in a 86' Iroc-z Camaro ... Yeah it was my friends car.. we raced some old heads and Beat them off the line for about a good 20 seconds.. we were leading then it wouldnt shift into third gear and the engine blew :-\

you couldnt get into 3rd gear? and so you blew the motor?

so what did you do? go into first?? if anything push in the clutch and let the rpms die down and then either go off to the side and fix your problem. or was the car an auto? and you tried to shift passed 3rd?

your confusing me. anyone wanna inform me on this? if the car is an manual then only real way to blow the motor is either first or reverse or kept it in neutral and maxed out the motor. but if the car is an auto and you manually shifted into reverse or something.

shit even shifting into reverse would only destroy the tranny.


i dont see how missing 3rd gear would blow the motor unless, he went into first or maxin out the rpms and threw it into second.
