I live a little too far south to have rocks. This is my cousin's samurai I've posted before. It's all aluminum top to bottom with an aluminum 427 sbc.

It's been rebuilt since then so he can compete in the mega truck events. They lengthened it and changed the suspension completely. It's sporting much bigger axles now too.

Skip to 3:15. The weight and tires make it really bad at pulling.

Don't underestimate a samurai lol. He's had it almost 20 years and slowly modded it from stock to where it is now.

OP I would find something old with a big engine bay that's easy to work on. And old ford F100 with a 300ci inline 6 and 3 speed on the column would be perfect. Simple systems, simple wiring, hard to break.
