Your claim was that reliability has gone up by a ton in the last 5 years.

I'm obviously referring to common issues that plagued certain platforms. Not related to recallls. Not to mention many of the big recent recalls aren't even for new cars. Some are older models that are finally getting recalled due to investigations and accidents.

Problems that are inherent and almost a guaranteed after 1-3 years of having the car. Specially true with older audis bmws and Mercedes in the earlier 2000s when newer tech was being tested. Tech that has been polished these days.

There is always new tech but industry in general has moved to a higher standard for adopting emerging tech as well as things go thru much more vigorous testing procedures and quality control.

No, it hasn't. You're just wishing it has.

It is a beautiful car and would probably be more fun than some of the boats I listed .

The new Miata is a solid choice for your price point.

Anyone who will give you a hard time about that choice, is probably suffering from some deep seeded insecurities.

Anyone who knows anything about the car, and its history, knows its merits.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't you looking to trade in, or get rid of, your 1 series once the warranty was up? I thought I remember reading something along those lines in the past.

I do agree with FMX, the simpler a machine is, the longer it will last.

only because i really want an M4 but i decided just to keep my 1 cuz shes my dirty little slut
