:wallbash: Fuck that. Nothing like reaching out past your financial abilities and paying 70k for a 50k car.

I financed mine for 5 years at 1.99% so I can invest that money into something that will profit even more. Even for the small chance that the market goes south I still have enough of a safety net to be okay. You don't get rich by always playing it safe.... Take some risks when you're young if you can afford it. That's how I got the cars I have today, where as most kids my age drive only 1 car that is 20-40k cars at best.

You are an idiot. Absolutely stupid financial move to do that.

Most banks can do 1.79%-1.99% up to 5-6 years. Occasionally, you can even find that rate for 7 years. Basically, 1.99% is free money. If you need me to explain that to you, then your intelligence is far too gone to be saved.

It doesn't matter if you or a couple of others at your level like me or not. OP made a thread to ask a question and I (along with many other posters) simple gave our inputs. He can choose which advice to heed it and what to ignore. Whats important to keep in mind is that some of those offering advice are actually financially stable enough to back up their words; others unfortunately are not

PS. Tbh, the main reason why you're poor is probably because despite everything I wrote above regarding investments, all you were able to take from it was "this guy mentioned a financial "safety net," so must be flaunting his wealth." Makes me wonder what other free information you disregard out of ignorance :)

I'm not poor......And you have no evidence to support this claim. I've stated that I don't have as much money as you, but that, by no means, makes me poor....

I have had many successful stock market trades in the past 5 years. Yet, your advice to invest money and come out on top much more isn't an option for everyone. Not everyone can make successful trades or make good decisions with their money.

You are the MOST shallow person I have ever met, and your incredibly false accusations make you appear completely unintelligent. You are so self-centered.

You are flaunting your wealth because of the way your present yourself. I'm sorry you're unable to understand this.

And by the way, when you say "most banks offer a certain interest rate," you're assuming everyone shares the same credit history as you.......Yes, they may offer that low % or even nothing, but only for certain qualifiers.

On another note, is there a quick and easy way of figuring out what sort of interest rate I would be looking at for a loan? When I bought my Jeep my credit score was a good bit over 800.

With that kind of score it will be very bank dependent. You will qualify for their prime rate. Each bank calculates it differently based on vehicle age and other factors.
