On topic, here in Michigan, thats a ticket, cant tint front or side windows further then 4" from the top, back and back sides you can.
State troopers are usually the only cops that bother this kind of stuff here.

No but cops pretty much wont say anything unless they are just wanting to be real dicks. I had a state trooper ask me to roll down a window at night at a roadblock so she could see if anyone else was in the vehicle. I rolled it down and she gave me a wave on through in about 2 seconds time. That was on my mazda protege but it was tinted the same way as the cruze
