3M perfect-it absolutely DESTROYS bugs.

They also have a general adhesive remover that would do the same thing.

(And I wouldn't purple power my car)

That adhesive remover is excellent. I use it quite often

I forgot who on here directed me to autogeek originally but it's a ridiculous amount of information on detailing. I'd trust those people long before anyone else

Probably me. I've been on there a long time. I first found the site when I was looking for a wax better than what was sold at the parts store. Man did I end up in deep. I've acquired a lot of knowledge and referral experience from that site. I put it to good use on my own vehicles and help friends make decisions on theirs. I don't do any detailing for profit for the same reason I don't tune cars for profit. My employer simply pays me better for my other skills. I do enjoy understanding something as complex as detailing or tuning and being able to execute it on a high level even if it is just a hobby.

PBMG (palm Beach auto group) owns Pinnacle, wolfgang, marine 31, mckee's 37 (formerly DP) autogeek, and a utopia among others.

I haven't used any wolfgang products but I love the Pinnacle stuff. The Pinnacle leather cleaner/conditioner is wonderful. It's an expensive product line. The newly relaunched mckee's 37 line is more value oriented and still very good.

its not a troll thread it was an honest question about whether the aerosol shit was ok to use on good paint or not. i figured some of you that are always ranting and raving about clay bars and this and that would have good info i could use about whats safe to remove bugs. like you said it clearly states on that stuff not to use it on paint.

It actually doesn't. I don't know where he got that picture from but I literally have a bottle that not only doesn't say that but it also lists as part of its "use" is getting rid of bugs from bumpers, grills and mirror caps. But FMX feels the need to say the opposite of every thing on these forums. I wouldn't tell you to use something that would damage your car. Go to a detailing forum.

It's cute you're so obsessed with telling people you beat me and that my posts backfired. I have better things to do than get your panties in a twist for the umpteenth time this week but glad to know all these years later you're still so easily rattled.

cause it's easier than putting a paragraph explaining that while it may be safe in small quantities of both time and product it's not worth the hassle for their lawyers.

I don't give a flying fuck about you. I hate the spread of misinformation.

That picture came from a detailing forum. One of the biggest detailing forums.... From a thread where someone contacted the manufacturer directly. That is the label from the back of the 1 gallon container. Did you think I generated the image myself? The manufacturer sent it to him in response to his question.

Does your bottle say PAINTED bumpers, grilles, or mirror caps? Traditionally those 3 pieces are chrome or chromed plastic. That is probably what it's referencing. For that use it would be perfectly fine although I find it streaks pretty easily at any dilution ratio stronger than 10:1. It's more hassle than it's worth when I have other products that do a better job.

From autogeek:

As a matter of fact I just got off the phone with these good folks and they are emailing me a copy of the label for all to see. The lady on the phone said they get phone calls all the time about folks using this industrial cleaner on automotive finishes and they expressly warn against using it on automobiles.

Call them and ask for yourself here: Contact Us

Again, the lady I spoke with said that this industrial strength cleaner should not be used on automotive finishes, tires, or wheels.

Sure any product can be diluted down, but if these folks felt comfortable with their product being used on autos they would've listed it on the label. Don't underestimate how potent this product is.

Will post the label when I receive it.
