I gotta get mine on a decent dyno.

We had the white truck on the dyno after the big single and injector upgrades and it kept tripping the dyno around 1650-1700ft lbs.

That was on 62lbs. I've got another 20-25lbs on top of that to go yet.

The sad thing is my wife still drives it 90% of the time. She just hasn't found the csp5 switch yet. When she does, I'm sure i'll be notified that it's wrapped around a pole somewhere. The poor toyo's dont really like 80 lbs of boost on the street and nether does the transmission unfortunately. I just need to pony up and get one built. The Suncoast mega68 isn't loving life anymore. Just hate to go back to a 47 or 48rfe again...

We tried a powerglide in the 08 drag truck we built.

It looks great on paper but it just doesn't work as well as a 3 speed with lockup.

Just not enough RPM to make it work right. I'm sure someone out there is doing it and having luck but I didn't. an 8,000lb truck and a two speed just kicked my ass to say it blunt.

The truck still get's daily driven as well so manual valve bodies and 2 speeds are probably out of the question for the wife. ATS makes a pretty good 48rfe that has it's own stand-alone unit. That's probably the route i'll end up going again.

That is what the gear vendors unit is for. The 2500-3000hp drag week cars use that combo to run mid 6's and cruise on the street. If the converter is built right it's no different than having a 4 speed auto but it's 2x as strong. It's only money. $11-$12k will get it set up.

If I got put 10-15 more into it right now she might kill me in my sleep.

She does all of the accounting for the business and personal.

I tried hiding the injectors and pump under the business cards and she even caught that shit... Woman is a linebacker when it comes to money dude. She knows I'm spending money before I even spend it.

Edit -- It's not that we don't have it to spend. She's just frugal and it's a pain in the ass to hear the same old 15 min speech every time I slip one through.

fuck hahaha same way at my house, had a guy come pick up his car from the house yesterday, wife said gime the cash, handed her 2500 she says, im not stupid ive been around racing and you long enough wheres the rest i told her that was it, she said dont make me call his wife to see how much he spent

she got the other 300$ lol

but she couldnt take the beer away, thats a win for me right?
