I'd get one
One of our admin has one at my work, it's pretty awesome.

Edit- I'd wait a couple of years though, they're going to go down in price.

I have actually done quite a bit of research on electric cars. As someone already said, the lack of charge stations is a concern, charge time can be very inconvenient if you need to recharge someplace on-the-go, range can be an issue for some models (not a tesla though), and there is an initial cost of setting up a charge station for your home.

The electric design is much more efficient energy-wise than internal combustion vehicles (ICVs). There is no wasted energy moving an engine.

I think if I ever did it, I would adapt my home to generate its own electricity (solar or a small wind turbine [big ones can get noisy]) so that driving the vehicle is almost free and almost completely green

Yeah, 60-70k for a FIRST car? And you're how old, like 21 or 22?

Mom and dad must love you.

Elon Musck is hoping to be able to create a telsa in the 30k range, infact he opened up the largest battery factory in northern america in hopes to do so. its not 100% so you canot say that for sure.
