Being a guy who was strictly German only, I was never into Corvettes until the C7 was released. Just so different

It's a C5 Z06. My favorite Corvette to date, interior and exterior wise.

I'd also like to make a note about people who talk up the interior on German cars. Other than upkeep costs, the interior is the #1 reason I would never own a German car. I have many friends with newer BMWs, and the interior on those cars is pure garbage. It looks OK when its new, but it falls apart way too fast. Glue and stitching lets go way too early.

Never experienced (my Benz is only 2 years old) it so I can't say otherwise, but to be fair, I don't think those guys even keep the car for more than 3 years xD

Call it a stereotype, but from what I've seen most of the guys who drive German are older businessmen with family OR young working adults who just lease and swap out every couple years. If your statement is indeed true, then that being their target market is probably why they design the car to only "look pretty" when new

Yes I do suppose they have their market, and build the cars as cheaply as possible, knowing it only needs to last 3 years. For me personally I think that's a lazy move, certainly doesn't make me want to buy one. But I'm the kind of guy that appreciates well built, long lasting cars. When I buy a car I intend to own it until it starts breaking down constantly, usually 10+ years.

my 83 tbird had that solid red interior too. ugly as fuck. this isnt it but close enough to the same thing.

That's pretty close to the interior color my mustang was as well, except the half black dash. Definition of porn star red interior lol.

and it fades from the sun bad. mine was in bad shape but i didnt have the money to invest in some new upholstery for it. i tried some of that carpet spray paint shit from advance or autozone and it wasnt worth 5 cents

What's wrong with the steering wheel the way it is?

The middle part is IMO too "fat" without stiching around it and plastic is cheaper looking than leather. Also it seems like it's "missing" something. I attribute that to the all black design and does not help "put together" everything in terms of interior.

The custom wheel dresses up the stock one quite a bit IMO. I and everyone else on the corvette forum seems to think so; if you disagree, you might be a first.
