I just figured wood would crack/break easier, while aluminum would only bend. Still, whatever......I dig your sled. Looks fun.

How much snow ya still have?

Thx

We had like 2-3 feets of snow in wood but latelly there was 2 snowstorm, adding like +2 feets of snow in woods.

I'm sad that I had to leave for 3 weeks lol, because now the fun as begun on sleds :(((

Did maybe 600km with it so far but like 400km of them on the trail :( Not enought snow at the moment and I'm leaving today for 3 weeks at the mine :((((

So far so good, I really used stiff front shock on the track and the feeling when it lift out of snow is pretty mad. Was able to hold 100ยด+ wheelies in middle deep snow :drool;

I went at the dealer for a check-up (as described in the owner manual) and they found some 10-68 weights in the clutch (2000'-4000' altitude clutching). They had to replace those since I'm riding at 0-500' alt. but I only paid the coil for 50$ so not so bad :p (I was kind of mad they put the wrong ones and it was dangerous for over reeving)

I like it more after 250+ km on the cluch cause now there are more particuls on the clutch walls and the strap is sticking hard on wot acceleration.

I def would recommend this snowmobile but I did not put enought kms on it to really note it.

That's more then me this year man. I'm in northern Ontario, we didn't get snow till December 26th and there wasn't enough to actually play in till mid/late January.
Just got 2 days of rain too so my seasons prolly over. Only managed about 300 km, all in the deep stuff though.

I swapped out the 1.35 track for a 2" 144 and put in 20/42 gears. I love the pro ride chassis in the deep stuff and on the hills and yeh it'll hold the skis off the ground till I let off the flipper heh.
Mostly wondering if the axys platform is as good in the deep stuff as the pro ride is.
as it seems the new switchbacks will be more rush style and less deep snow rmk style.

The axys in my opinion is not nearly as good as the pro rides are. They seem to be more of a trail sled.

That's a shame, cause the rush style SBA and the axys RMK are the future for Polaris.

Gonna do some clutching on my SBA I think and just keep my pro ride.

I did store my sled for the summer last Tuesday

It's now in a container on our land.

I removed the clutch strap,
removed the spair strap from it's hidden case to let it sit round (so it does not grab a kink over the years),
filled it with 91 oct gaz and added a slight lip of octane booster to keep the gaz clean of condensation/water.

The skis are sitting 3" over the floor and the track is 6-8" over the floor.

I might start it 3-4 times this summer so the internals stay lubricated.

What do you guys do when you store your sleds ?

I was thinking this is mostly for storing a vehicule during winter ?

Anyway it'll be in a dry, sun-free environment (container) and I plan on starting the engine 2-3 times this summer at 1 1/2 months intervals.

I'll just pull the cord 6-7 times before actually starting it just to lubricate stuff.

we do it to all of our sleds at work,

give your local powersports shop a call and ask.

I think its a good idea to do it.

Hey !

Quick question:

I'll start my sled 2-3 times in the summer and try to reach around 70*C on the engine just to keep it from condensing and keep it lubbed.

Q : belt on to turn the track also so there is load on the engine ? Or no belt and rev it a few time with 0 load ?

It's fully electronic and jets controlled but I still wonder what happen when I go from WOT to idle, lean intake ? or controlled slope down ?
