Nah it's all good. I too list my build parts out and forget to mention the most important ones.

No big deal m8

The motor for my challenger also has heads cam intake and exhaust done. But, who cares that it's a 572 with twin 88's right?

All I got from that was its cam only

I built a 305 and it blew up and then I built a 350, it blew up also.

Now I just make computer programs and stay away from engine internals.

I really wonder about the education level of some of the people that visit these forums.

i'm building a '91 toyota pickup to take out to the sand dunes, 95% of it is all bolt-on...
i'm working on finding a good ford 8.8 i can build with limited slip and 4.11's (since its still a daily) and then of course paddle tires..
and a mild suspension kit up front, probably just beefing up the lower arms, doing some larger spindles and doing an engine cage + upper control arms for a decent amount of travel.

you dont want anything to do with an 8.8

they are c clip, you break an axle your fucked

put a full float 9inch in it and be done

i'm super broke at the moment, and an 8.8 has the same lug pattern as my current wheels, and parts are like a dime a dozen where i am (so cal) for the 8.8 rear ends.

if i had unlimited funds the bitch would be linked with a currie rear end :(

one of the biggest reasons im going with the ford rear end is because 90% of all of the ford ranger 8.8's are 58-1/2" WMS-WMS, and so is my current axle, so tire fitment in the fenderwells would not be a problem
also they come standard with limited slip (which to do to my rear diff would be 600$ plus labor since i dont have a bearing press at my disposal..)
and a ring and pinion set is around 100-200 instead of 250-400
