Any time you act aggressively towards a bike rider while in your 5,000lb truck you are being juvenile. You are putting that persons life at risk from the safety of your steel cage. Who cares how dumb they act? Don't let it get to you. They will eventually get what they deserve. I've had people ride 3 feet from my back tire because they were in a hurry. They were too naive to realize they were attempting to kill me. Watch a few people die in front of you because someone sneezed or checked their phone and you will sing a different tune. Not to mention the lane splitting he was talking about is completely legal in his state.

True, it just pisses me off the way people drive sometimes.
Generally I don't do anything stupid with my vehicle but I'm not afraid to speak my mind when we stop at a red light etc.
People just being dumb man, the thing that lights a fire under my ass the fastest is someone using their phone while driving..just in the last two days I've had probably 4 people just swerve right in front of me, no signal nothing while on their phones..then they get mad at you like you did something.

Even though it is legal, people rage really bad at people splitting lanes.

I was stuck in dead stop traffic and watched a guy ride up between the lanes and the person in front of me literally opened his driver door as the bike came up. Luckily the guy wasn't a squid and wore his gear and was able to walk away and watch the driver get hauled off in cuffs. Even if it is legal, i don't see a need for it...

I don't have to worry about it since it is illegal here. We have plenty of fucksticks doing stupid shit without any gear though. SC has an 18+ helmet law so natural selection takes it's course.

Same here in Texas.

Wasn't too long ago I watched a guy in shorts and a bro tank on a brand new r1 (temp tags still on it) try to pull a wheelie from a stoplight and the bike came out from under him. Was tempted to stop and help him but I was laughing to hard at his mangled ass bike that he just dropped 12-13k on. No sympathy for squids at all. I'm not the first to grab a lid if i'm driving down the side roads but wont touch a highway or anything over 55mph without one.

agreed, I always wear mine, even though we have no helmet law if you have full coverage insurance... I have full coverage on all three of my bikes and I still wear a helmet always.

Going on my daily commute to school and work is always filled with bumper to bumper traffic.
I live in Texas and it's illegal to filter, but I honestly don't give a shit.
Not gonna be a racer or a douche like the other guys, just using it as a daily commute, and maybe weekend twisties fun.

First bike I want is a Yamaha R6, I've had a bit of riding experience, but not enough to feel comfortable weaving at high speeds (If I ever even go fast enough to do that)

Opinions on R6 being first bike with minimal experience?

Test drive as many bikes as you can or want. Take your time and like anything do research!

You may want gear like a jacket and gloves boots and a helmet. These things are expensive and anything else motorcycle is expensive and time consuming.

My first bike is a cbr600rr. So an r6 is an option depending completely on you and your riding ability.

Take an MSF course. It will get you a discount on your insurance (which is really expensive) and no matter how long you've been riding you'll learn something that could save your life.

I got an 07 R6 as my second bike. Wouldnt recommend as a starter, but its doable.

R6 has shit power below 7k, but its still an 600ss

Go sit on a few bikes, R6 has the most aggressive sitting position of the 600 racing class, so can be uncomfortable depends on person tho.

CBR 600 F4I has more upright which is a better riding position

but if you under 6 foot and below 170lbs, id say start on 300 ninja, 650 SV, 650 ninja
