welcome to the real world where you get pulled over by a lying prick and given a bullshit ticket. kentucky dot pulled me over in my semi and said i was talking on my phone without a hands free device (i wasnt) and i showed him my bluetooth and everything and he still wrote the ticket. then he says i can mark it prepay or court appearance so i said might as well mark prepayable and he marked court appearance instead. 2.5 hour drive from my house to court, missed a day of work, and showed them my phone records showing i had not been using my phone for 6 hours before he pulled me over.

prosecutor dropped the charges and i was free to go. its up to a 3,000 dollar fine for the driver and up to 11,000 dollar fine for the company. so yeah dot cops are lying assholes

money comes and goes and that could effect you substantially down the road

i knew someone in similar situation, would definitely try to fight it since your not guilty. it usually comes down to his word against yours

lol. If you were not racing, why did you floor it? GL- lets us know what lawyer ya get and how much he charges ya.

he never said he floored it. he said a mustang gt pulled alongside him and the mustang gt floored it. not him.

Ok, if you dont have enough money for a lawyer you can have a public defender appointed for free. First, you will go to court and submit your guilty, not guilty, or no plea. You will want to say not guilty, then you will be asked who will be defending you, this is where you tell them you need a public defender. Second, the next court hearing will be your case, you will show up 15 mins early and talk with your public defender. Explain what happened and im sure you will be just fine, dont agree to any deal because you are not guilty!

Also, next time exercise your rights, I understand cops are intimidating but you just need to take a breathe and think about what you say. You are 17 so nothing to crazy is going to happen, just a slap on the wrist if found guilty!


All these people saying you need a lawyer have obv never been in trouble. Public defenders are in ALL 50 states and are required by law to represent someone without money...

I got dash cam 2 years, have used it twice for incidents I caught(not for myself thankfully)

idk about other states but in kentucky if its not mandatory court appearance you can talk to the prosecuting attorney and they can drop the charges without even going to court. idk if his ticket is mandatory court either.
