the cruise was made in mexico thats reason enough to stay VERY far away from that car i would go with #3 or #4 i would choose the jetta any day of the week out of the choices tho

They're the same robots that make your car in the US, Canada or Germany. Just the workers who operate them and drive them out of the factory get paid less .The Jetta is also made in Mexico by the way.

Huh? Nothing in my post is wrong, and it's all specifically related to VWs two litre gas naturally aspirated engine, which has changed very little since the 1990s. The fact you mention the TDI in your next post probably tells me you didn't get what I was saying. And I'm not sure why, I was incredibly clear what I was referring to. And the biggest VW lover in the world hates the two litre. It's probably an engine hated by brand loyalists more than people who aren't because they know how weak the engine is in comparison to other engines in the lineup. It is by far the weakest part of VWs lineup, and it has long been retired from their most important market (Europe), but it held on in VWs entry level cars in North America.

Like seriously, the engine in the Jetta that the OP is talking about has been in VWs, more or less unchanged, since 1992. That's ridiculous.

Honestly I love my 2.0 aba, one of the easiest motors to turn into a stroker capable of handling a massive amount of power. Probably one of the strongest and most reliable gas motors they made. Easiest to work on by far too.

I'm not sure we're talking about the same engine...I've never heard "massive" power be associated with VWs 21 year old 2 litre before...

2.0 aba block, alh tdi crank, 16v head with a few odd parts to make it all work.

end up with a 2.1 stroker capable of 250+ na, 400+ boosted on that setup alone, and a lot cheaper than one would think.
invest in better pistons and fuel work and looking at 500-700 or more if your pockets are really deep lol
