Gl, I had a friend that was stationed in Tinker, and after I believe a year, he tried getting fat to get a discharge it was so bad. Be glad for Japan, even though some call it the career killer, it's WAY better than Oklahoma, lul.
It can be a career killer depending on the career. For Booms it isn't bad, they fly the shit out of you there though. Lots of trips, typhoon evacs, aeromedical evacs, etc. depending on how the first year or so goes will determine if I want to extend into a 4th year. If I do that i will be very close to being able to bring an R33 back. They released them in Jan '95, and if I'm there til mid 2019 at least it will be close...
