Rather the camaro than that boat of a car known as the challenger.

Unless you like yachting, pick the camaro.

:wallbash:

Numbers for 2014 cars:
Challenger -- 3,834 to 4,170 lbs Depending on trim package and options
Camaro -- 3,702 to 4,374 lbs Depending on trim package and options

What were you saying about weight again?

Thanks for a legit reply Jimmy. I'm really considering going with the scat package.

For those talking about my insurance being high, maybe your aren't understanding that i don't pay for shit if anything breaks. Rearend goes out and they fix it, needs tires and maintenance and they pay for it all

The scat pack is pretty much an srt8 with different badges and about 8k cheaper on MSRP over the core srt8
It does use different suspension and braking but i've driven both (2015 cars) and to the average person there really is no difference in everyday driving.

I was going to order a 2015 scat pack shaker before i ran across the '13 srt8 I have now.

23 hwy and 18 town

I'm geared really tall though too 85mph is right around 2k rpm

I'm around the same but in an auto. If i ever get around to tuning it the thing will pick up a half second at the track and nearly 2mpg.

The Camaro isn't that much lighter but GM did an amazing job making it feel lighter than it is when you drive it. I have the first suspension revision and it drives super smooth and consistent. I believe the 15's are on the 4th suspension revision. The 1LE package makes it a completely different car as well. When they debuted that package it outran a regular SS by several seconds around each track it was tested on. That is the one that whoops up on the gt500 even though it caries more weight and has less power.

Dont get me wrong. The challenger is no spacious car by any means either. You still can't be first in line at a street light and see the light without ducking your head forward. Out of the two cars I felt more comfortable in the challenger. I'm 6'2"

Keep in mind, my decision was more based on seating position with a car seat in the back as well. With the camaro you sit slightly lower and with the seat all the way back is pretty comparable to the challenger.

Like I said though, there really isn't much difference in these two cars. The LS motors will get slightly better economy when compared to an equivalent hemi engine. Both have good automatics and both use tremec 6 speeds. Both weigh roughly the same in similar trim packages, both offer track equipped cars (Gm slightly better than dodge with suspension)

When you are talking about these cars its apples to apples. Pick on personal preference rather than the small gains or losses in numbers. In my opinion they don't outweigh how you feel driving the car by any stretch.

Yeah the seating is kind of a selling point for me. While i don't plan on carrying people in the back often, its nice to have the option to put someone there if my friends are rolling around with me.

Your friends wont be friends long if you put them in the back of either of these cars lol.

My wife is small and she has all she can do to sit in the back seat.

They drive shitty dodge neons and colbalts. They will be thrilled to sit in the back squished together like sardines in a tin. :p
