Thats intake to oil pan with engine harness and ecu.  A T56 is around $1500.

Depending on the year of the 5.3 the power output is very similar. The 2j will make more torque all stock.  There is a massive weight penalty for the 2jz v160 vs an aluminum lsx and t56.

Yea aluminums nice. Thoughts on toyotas aluminum v8 1uz?

How so on the parts? A cam and spring will make right at 500whp from the ls3.

I'm a toyota tech now.

This swap business is pretty far down the road still though, the 13B has been maintained properly and shows no sign of slowing down any time soon.
Leaning towards v8 though ;)

Terrible as far as aftermarket and reliability goes. I have rode in a long travel tacoma swapped with a stock one and its pretty peppy but other then stock I would stay far away unless you have deep pockets and just want to be different

These little cars are nasty with 500-530whp from an N/A V8.

It's not a bad engine but it only has 1% of the aftermarket of the lsx.

Yea I don't know much about them. Was looking into an sc400 so I did a little bit of research but not much.

When your swapping something completely new in the ls is a considerably better choice lol. Lighter, more compact, makes power power, much more reliable, considerably cheaper.

after being in my buddies 1jz fc i'm definitely a bit of a fanboy not gonna lie

more pics of the car?
