how does having sex with sheep make a sand rail a bad choice?

So I've been looking through craigslist at both quads and dirtbikes and im still not sure which Id prefer.

When it comes to the quads, what size motor should I be looking for? Ive seen a few 350-450 ones that were pretty cheap but I dont want something I will outgrow too soon. Should I look for something closer to a 700?

There are a few newer Raptor 700s on CL for ~$4k. Seem like a good choice?

raptors are kinda heavy, decent power though! big bore thumpers, theyre not slow and theyre not the fastest. they do have reverse, top heavy is the biggest complaint.. i dislike yamaha anymore. i personally bought a 2014 450R, and love every bit of it.. but i spent a lot lol.

I had an 03 400ex and I really liked it. I mostly used it on trails just messing around. I never had a problem without reverse, it's light enough to where you could turn it around by hand or just gas it and it'll turn itself around. Was pretty fun using it in fall too when the lake would drop down and there was plenty of mud.
