I've got the cash in the bank and its a great deal. If I need to sell it I'll get my money back assuming it doesn't break. I'll probably get almost as much as I'm paying for it for my current beater as well.

Looks like it just sold. Was it you?

I get what you're saying, but to me a winter beater means something like a 4.0 jeep I paid 400 bucks for and just beat the living hell out of it haha.

go with 5500 in 100$ bills, drive the car, ask if it's ok to check the turbo and such.

Pretend there is shaft play on the turbo or something.
Be like man this turbo is going to need a rebuild shortly if i buy it, and the headlights need repair etc etc. then offer the 5500 I am betting he would take it.
Flip that car for some nice profit.

hell even if the turbo was going its still a great deal. a k04 turbo can be had for 300$ easy. plus that car really should be selling for 8-9 grand not 6

I know I don't know why he hasn't snagged it already. I am saying even if the turbo is fine just take the intake off and act like there is shaft play, and offer 5500 cash and I am sure he could walk away with it that day.

That car here in the us is 10 grand easy

I had him down to $5500 before i went down there. The car was a bust though. The rear quarters had been rolled badly. It needed some paint and body work. Would have brought the cars price up too much for it to be worth it with the mechanical shit I needed to do. The cars aren't worth as much here. Theres a few really low mile ones for less than 10k I would have rather just spent the extra money and bought.
