Have you ever done mx forks? It's not that i can't do it. I don't want to do it. I can yank the forks in 5 minutes and drop them off on my way to work. $30 per fork for labor is well worth it for me. I don't enjoy rebuilding forks. Don't go all turbo dodge on me.

If it's just 1 fork seal it shouldn't be more than $100.  I get mx bike seals done for $60/side.

actually it's kind of a good quality fork with quite expensive parts, and the job takes around 1h-1h30 to do. So for me, 100-150 is nothing to pay for piece+ work when you think that you don't have to disasemble your front end yourself and grease your hands etc etc.

Also, I work in wind turbine all day long, clearing electric fault, greasing my hands on bearings and being in weird positions, so I really appreciate when someone can do some work for me , for example, on my bike :P

i hope it's not the same shop that told you the seals were fine to begin with.

nah, at a way wayyy better place where the mechanic is himself doing some downhill rides and knows what he talk about :P

My time > $

I KNOW I could do them myself, but it would take time, I have better places to spend this time at and read above for why I don't feel like getting greasy on the evening :P
