People like hating on fwd :(

I'm just sayin'. I rock a FWD as a DD with no shame, but I don't know if it'd be the first thing I'd think of for a track car.

But hey! You could be out there on the track with a converted shopping cart with a lawn mower engine. As long as you're having fun, handle yo' bidness! :)

You also wouldn't track a car that has barely 1 finger of wheel gap.

its what im hoping for  but i mainly call it the racekar because its stripped of every luxury possible (aka power steering, heat, ac, etc) and its on solid motor mounts with a SDS engine management system.
not something to drive around daily lol, and yes it has power. just how much power im hoping to find out in due time, proper tune could hit upwards of 400 or more hp

and this is my daily beater. why? because it gets up to 50mpg, rolls coal, and just to make people mad lol

more of a straight line track is what i'm going for with this one for now. but i will be doing the best i can to make it handle well for cruising :)

the fenders are hollow under those flares. have been fully cut, pulled, rolled and welded together to give way more wheel clearance than normal.
i also cranked the front down some for fun before i took the pic. it has bilstein pss9 coils all around, these things are stiff and easy to adjust as needed.

did he buy it for around 1000$ and have less than 2500 invested total in everything you see? its easy to say "a better car" without considering budget
believe me, beetle was my last choice in car.. i still don't like them but that thing is 370k miles, going strong, and doesnt owe me a dime. also its the ultimate troll ride

If you're going to be spending that little I can't believe Beetle was your last choice. I have a 2005 TDI Passat I let my cousin use that I'd probably sell for 2500-3000. Which is less than what you've spent on that Beetle. Should have been able to find a Golf or Jetta TDI for cheaper. Touraeg might be a little pricey for you if your budget was $1000...about $15000 too pricey.

Not around here, most tdis are rare to find under 3 grand. And my car was 1300$ to get drivable, the other 1200 was invested in aftermarket parts I didn't need but wanted ;) so this car was a very great deal I couldn't beat. Besides I've grown to like my choice just because of the compliments I get for doing up something most guys wouldn't touch out of some misplaced confidence issues haha.

Why is everyone hating on everyone geez. Let him drive what he wants to drive. If it isn't your taste, well that's not your problem. He appreciates his cars for what they are, and he has is reasons, just as everyone else here.
