My tints are somewhat dark and I have no problems at all.

Also have them professionally done, dont try and do them yourself.

99% of the time you can tell when someone had then done professionally and when someone tried themselves.
(in before everyone in this subforum claims they can do it just as good and are tint experts)

I get asked all the time about where I got my done because they look good. Theres no bubbling, no discoloration, etc. They are flawless, well worth the money.

my last vehicle had real dark tint in the back
was a bitch backing up at night
lifted truck + tint u cant see out

on my s10 i had 2 layers of limo tint on the backglass and the extended cab windows. it was impossible to see out those windows at night. you couldnt even see into them during the day. i had 5% on the doors and the windshield strip

Is there a way that I could see the different tints?

Not really looking to ride dirty, but don't want to be an uptight white kid from the suburbs either.

People around here usually do 18-25 on the fronts and 5-15 on the rear. Our cops dont stop you for tint though. Its an add on ticket. They dont measure either. They put your license behind it. If they can read the writing on the license it's fine.

Im sure the tint place you take it to will have a glass panel with the different tints on it so you can get an idea. My place did.

Just get legal limit since youre so hesitant.

I ran limo tint on the Vette, and I run it on the Miata now too. I've never had a ticket for it, and this was 2 different states. And I had several police officers sit inside the Vette.

The guy told me that basically if they touch my windows, it will more than likely be illegal.

Not sure how accurate the one site was that I checked out, but a quick Google search said that 70 was the lowest that is legal.
