Wow you are a dick what is wrong with fixing a hole if it is tiny with some JB weld, or metal weld, Since guess what exhaust is made of? metal! tada. Notice I asked if the  hole was big, I would never fix a huge hole with jb weld but if the hole is only like 1/4" to 1/2" why would someone spend 200+ fixing it when that is not even remotely necessary, you also wouldn't even be able to tell the difference at all if this was done, not like it affects the performance of a car at all.

Also considering most cars that are going to run in to this issue are older, he also said it could be temporary which my suggestion was perfect for what he needed your suggestion is not. Replacing the exhaust is a permanent solution not temporary

If I had to guess I'd say it's either a defect in the cheap obx headers or it's a symptom of the age of the heads (100,000+ miles)  Idk though, I cleaned the fuck out of it all before I put them on, each time.

Well...Rust...is a big issue there. Depending on where the leak is, it could also affect the operation of the vehicle (like if the leak is before an O2 sensor, or catalytic converter).
That aside, a temporary fix is just that. Temporary. You're either going to have to deal with it once and for all, or repeat the process.
It shouldn't cost anywhere near 200$ to replace a single piece of exhaust pipe.
Most of the shops in my area (first hand experience) charge around 140$ to replace it all from the cat back (oem replacement, not performance).
Thats with a new muffler/resonator as well, not just the pipes.
Its always good to instill the "do it right, do it once" mentality when people ask for advice on vehicle repair. Keeps costly oversights to a minimum.

You don't have to fix it right away. Jesus Christ all you pansies treating it like it's a big deal......

Lets start over. OP posts about a quick and easy fix, which obviously is the first sign he does not want to have the expense of fixing it right away. Duh!

MyGodIsTheSun is correct. The exhaust leak (O2 sensor) may set off the "check engine light" but your car will still run OK. Maybe slightly less MPG but doubtful even noticeable.

Personally I'd go to Home Depot/Lowes and get a piece of sheet metal and a couple pipe clamps and fix it myself.

No big deal.

Because a piece of sheet metal and a few pipe clamps are going to fix a fucking exhaust leak.

How about you just fix the leak? If you're putting that much effort into it, just fix the fucking thing, idiot.

Oh the new guy knows more than me, imagine that

The new guy? I have been trolling this subforum for an amazingly long time, The guy asked for a temp fix, which is what I suggested given the details he posted.

And since you called me new guy you obviously don't know a single damn thing about me so who's to say I don't know more than you? Not saying I do as I don't know shit about you either, other than you coming off as a complete dick in this thread to multiple people not just me, so keep up that same image you have going for you.
