theyre also show cars. thats one of the things i love about that bel air it looks like the guy that owns it actually does the work himself in his garage not a professional company doing a full resto job and making it look like a gasser.

while he drives his to work those other guys are only circling the block or maybe driving to the car show.

No, just understand he intentionally didn't do much body work or put shiny paint on it. I bet it is in very good mechanical shape. Simply assuming its a POS because it LOOKS neglected is a mistake.
