Ty  for posting!

I think the headers + straight pipe sounds better from the video.
I was planning to eventually put headers on my truck.
And if I get a cherry bomb I was going to get the "extreme"
Or just put another Flowmaster Super 10 SS back on it.

The extreme is a quieter muffler than the original.....

Messing with headers you get into a whole new ball game....get a broken bolt head and you'll regret it. since it's just sound and not performance you really want = a cheap ol' glass pack.

straight pipe only (no muffler) is usually illegal and can get ya a ticket.

* personally watch the video I posted to the end and you'll hear the nice "crackle" you get from the glass packs......they sound great on old V8s!

good luck

Ya I edited my post when I seen that you advised against the "extreme"
And ya that's why I haven't gotten it done yet, just don't wanna pay to get it done right cause it isn't something needed right now.
Where would I get something like that done btw? Muffler shops around me don't do it anymore.

Do you own a pair of pliers or vice grips? Do it yourself! You can buy the muffler and U bolt clamp at Autozone.

Not that difficult really....I'm sure you can do it.

cherry bombs ftw
had one on my old 318. was straight piped though.

she didnt like pulling, wasnt too bad on the highway, woke everyone up at 630 am, i love it

if i was to do it again, id go trudual straight pipes cherry bombs, run them right to the back of the truck. and not just leave it under there. maybe even smaller diameter pipes

I have to work with what I got
And a muffler will make the biggest change for the cheapest price
