Don't forget the 6.0

I try to forget the 6.0 daily. I like to remember Ford as a 7.3 kind of company.

That list is based off of the U.K and includes a bunch of engines we don't even get, not to mention within the past few years everyone has seemed to step up their quality.

International designed and built both of them and the 6.4. Think of Ford as a 6.7 kind of company. The 6.0 is great once you spend $4-5k on deletes and prevent kits.

Negative lol. I know they're international built, but that's okay. I think of them as a 6.9/7.3 kind of company (;

It was Ford's EGR system that ruined the 6.0. Thousands of them are running around problem free in Isuzu cabover trucks and other stuff.

Yeah the engines themselves aren't so bad, the truck sucks though. I love the 6.9/7.3 c6 combo in the old trucks. Front ends were a bit weak, but as long as you didn't do much off road you were fine. My 6.9 is about to break 300k miles without so much as a new glow plug or a belt. I've known the truck since my grandpa got it new, and its never had more than an oil change. And it hasn't exactly been babied.

Well at 420ci and 170hp by way of a mechanical injection pump it should last forever. As we have lowered the compression ratio, added boost, and added injection pressure over the years there were growing pains. Unfortunately Navistar/International/Ford suffered the majority of those growing pains.
