Elise maybe.

That's if I bought something and couldn't touch it.

Otherwise it'd be e34 M5 with like 10k in modifications.

Well, I really don't know how anybody can not find these sexy, and actually like a Camaro. But you have to ask your self how much performance you want. If you want a heavy slow ugly car with no visibility, grab the Camaro. If you want the most bang for the buck get the C5 Z06 and thank me later. 90% of the replies you get here are going to tell you to get a C5 Z (Serious replies anyway). There's a reason. A few of the guys here actually know a thing or two about cars, and if you want something serious, get the Z.

I think you took the camaro bashing a bit far. Heavy as it is it still performs very well. Visibility sucks but that comes with the chopped roof line. No doubt a C5 Z has the best bang for your buck in the 20-25k range and i would own one in a minute. Its not everyone's cup of tea though. It's 2 generations old and has flip up headlights. Someone that is contemplating a 5th gen Camaro may very well think its a boring doorstop. I know he said sports car but i don't think he knows the difference.

Clearly he doesn't. Needs to specify what he wants in a car. Best bang for the buck, C5Z. If he isn't looking for performance he should specify. If you want low maintenance costs, save some cash and get a Civic.

C5 Z06
2 second search on Autotrader for one from a dealer was 22k, 20k miles, but you could probably find one cheaper. There's lots under 25k though.

Stock wiki says
3.9 0-60
11.8 1/4

What id buy if I was wanting all performance for under 25k

I love flip up headlights, since they aren't on like any newish cars really. My one problem with vettes is.. for some reason no one ever wants to go on the street even mustangs and such.

I like how there is no middle ground between vette and civic...
