It doesn't mention anything about a bi-xenon bulb, so I'm assuming the it's just a high beam aimed bulb and not a bi-xenon (which is why they recommend not getting it for DRL). The price reflects this too.

You'd be better off calling and making sure first though.

alright thanks

Please don't do this.

If you want HIDs you really need to use projectors.....Putting HIDs into a reflector housing not only makes you a ricer but a douchebag.

If you want more light output from your OEM reflectors use Phillips 9011 & 9012 HIR bulbs, they're the brightest halogen-based bulbs on the market. Not as bright as HIDs but will provide you with more usable light than a PnP HID kit in a reflector housing....

BTW retrofitting projectors into reflector-based housings is no longer all that difficult with the new Mini H1 kit. Just a thought, but do everyone a favor and don't put HIDs into reflectors...that just makes you a giant faggot.

Meh, not really.

The s13 projectors have TERRIBLE light output compared to s13 bricks (reflectors) even with HIDS so I put HIDs in my bricks.

That being said, I was fully aware of the terrible scatter of HIDs in a reflector housings so I painted these areas to produce a cleaner cut off. I also aim my headlights properly.

Doing things doesn't make you a ricer, doing things improperly does.

I really don't expect 99.9% to give two shits about proper aiming and headlight cutoff, they can't see the glare on their end, so why should they give a crap.

And not all projectors are created equal, there's only a handful that people use to actually do a proper retro. Usually it's Lexus projectors. Although the projector from the Ap1 S2000 is among one of the best as well, but very expensive.

This is true, just defending my choice to put HIDs in my reflector housings rather than my projectors is all.

I suppose if done properly it will yield decent results. I'd like to see what would happen if you used the HIR bulbs opposed to HID. Only issue is they won't give you the hyperwhite/blue color that so many people are fond of. 4300-5000k is really the only area that should be explored when it comes to lumens output, 4300k being the best output-wise, anything beyond is essentially a flat-out loss in light output, but you know...COOL COLORZ YO!
