My parents made the mistake of buying a 50 inch Mitsubishi when they were new, biggest POS ever... would never buy anything made by mitsubishi considering they can't even make a tv properly.

Subaru wrx/sti are proven to blown up fast. Mitsubishi has a solid reliability reputation with their 4g63.

S2000, funny yes, good for winter? No.

Tuning an evo will cost less than tuning a STi LOL. Evo is one hell of a good plateform for tuning compared to sti where you need to change all the block after a SRI switch lol <-< This is sarcasm but true.

What I suggest you.

Go to http://www.evolutionm.net/ and ask about the evo IV. Pros and cons about it.

Then go here: http://www.iwsti.com/ and see how many sti owners say the evo is more reliable than their car ;) it,s surprising but atleast they know it, they are not insignifiant :P

You are asking a car question in a gaming forums, people here only know stuff about civics or about 2-3 cars and think they work all the same. people here doesn't care about your needs nor budget, they just say poor arguments about X or Y car.

Also a fact.

There are more fans of subaru sti because: Their car are cheaper and easier to find, they are common car. Everyone know someone who own an sti. Since their friend has it they think its the best car worldwhide and make publicity for subaru.

Now the evo, higher value, and hard to find.

You recommended a guy who is new to cars and looking at a 4 door, AWD rally car, a 2 seater RWD 9k revving (ap1) s2000, that is notorious for being wrapped around trees/poles/people/cars/curbs/etc. The s2000 is a fun car, but totally unforgiving in every aspect if you do not know how to drive properly. A poor suggestion probably based on the premise that you either own one or like them. I always recommend them, just not to new drivers to more "powerful" vehicles. A much better choice would be a BRZ for him, although most likely out of his price range unless he can find a pre-owned semi-high-mileage Scion (RWD speaking).

Not saying they aren't absolutely great, they make wonderful track cars. I love my CR.

Remove 240hp 2800lb rwd car

Replace with 200hp 2800lb rwd car on prius tires

Really?
