no i believe it was the oil cleaning out sludge and causing issues of plugging.

Therefore, Oil caused the plugging and the plugging caused an accident and the accident caused two school busses to explode but luckily no one was injured

shouldnt have used pennzoil for the first 400k imo. thats your problem the old oil gunked your engine up.

i ran rotella t6 in my STi for years with no problem what so ever. But t6 is a diesel motor so idk how that would work on your car. Idk which oil my car likes best, im using crappy 0-20 right now just for mpg, but for my track days idk if i should go with an amsoil 0-20 or a 5-30

I wouldn't use RP to lubricate a sandwich. That probably wasnt your problem though. It was the drastic switch in oil types imo. Probably spun a bearing.

I know absolutely nothing about engines, but I saw this commercial saying Royal purple would make my car really fast. Its a 79 with 500k miles on it and has always had dino oil in it, but dropping this fully synthetic crap in here won't do anything but make it go real fast...the commercial said so.
