you say under $300/month which is cool, but you left out what you have for a down payment, length of loan, and your credit.  That will help define a real budget.

I financed about $20k and my payments are $351/month over 5 years @ 2.09% which comes out to roughly $17.50 per month per $1,000 financed, was 28/homeowner/excellent credit.  those numbers could give you a direction on estimated budget

well i guess that would depend on buy or lease. I dont know which road to go down. Being stuck with a certain mileage cap seems like hell.
Buying a $25k car though could run quite a bit.

Around 300 without insurance and all that extra so base cost.
My credit is fine. We dont need to get in to all of that. Im mostly looking for someone to confirm what a great buy is since i dont know much :p

Go with Escape, get a 2009-2012. 2008 and less has some problems they fixed @ 2009+ and the 2013 models are ugly (imo). Cheaper and better fuel economy get the 4 cyclinder but you will see after test drive it lacks quite a bit of power, get the 6 if you want more it's not that much more heavy on gas but the truck will cost a bit more

Fusion is also a well built car, and would recommend it.

No need fg.

The Chevy Malibu is a great vehicle for what you are looking for. There are many different trims for it...if you are looking for something a little more compact I suggest the Chevy Cruze...it is very awesome...I'd get that over the new Honda Civics anyday...it comes loaded with features where as Honda is trying to stimulate the aftermarket economy by throwing in nothing in their standard vehicles...lol

Cruze or Malibu!!!

I have a 12 Escape 6 Cylinder, runs great. Looks hot, a lot better than the 13's.

buy an impala

decent gas mileage, spacious, ~300 hp

edit: I'm sure it's great in the snow granted you have proper tires

SS for sure
