Doesn't say much. 99% of people that think they need awd don't. Alittle snow isn't going to hurt you.

Funny, Edmunds compared them.  The track edition at that haha.  We've known for a long long time that a corvette and GTR are designed with two completely different people in mind.  Unfortunately as the video game generation moves up the corporate ladder fewer and fewer prefer the rewarding experience of a true sports car.

*Disclaimer:  I know the GTR is faster, I know it's a base model vette, I know it's half the price, I know one is AWD and one is RWD.  Expect GM to knock one out of the park with the two high performance C7's.  The chassis in Z51 form is already opening eyes.

The GTR is due for a a new gen too lol. Keep in mind the 2013 GTR is significantly faster than the 2009 as well.

Yes it is. Unless they go back to the drawing board and start from scratch I don't see it changing a whole lot. They might be able to drop 100lbs and add 100hp. The AWD system and suspension don't need much if any improvement. The weight and power is what holds it back right now.

Here you go, most of the hard work was already done for you.

http://www.gtrlife.com/forums/topic/84727-my-cost-per-mile-comparison-of-my-gtr-and-my-daily-driver/

It costs roughly $0.47/mile to drive a GTR if you are doing the majority of the service work yourself, using aftermarket parts, and not paying the dealer for the scheduled services. From what I've seen it would easily be $0.55-0.60/mile if the dealer did all the servicing.

47 cents per mile for 100,000 miles is $47,000. That is fuel, tires, normal maintenance, etc. It does not include broken parts or unscheduled maintenance. It also figures an 18mpg average which is a very generous rating. It doesn't take into account taxes or insurance. For you that would be 160,000km and $49,000 CAD. If you drove a conservative 16,000km a year that would work out to $5k a year to keep fuel, tires, brakes, and fluids in check.

Figure $0.20/mi depreciation too. In comparison, his miata beater is costing him 15 cents a mile.

If you want to be miserable, sure. They may be fun on a track but cars like that get old when driven daily.

I once had to drive my Lotus as a daily for about a week and it was awful. With my experience with GT-Rs, I imagine it would be just as bad.

Did fucktard here really compare a piece of shit Lotus to a GT-R?
